Existing problems and solutions for dyeing and finishing of polyester/spandex blends

Existing problem

Dyeing of polyester/spandex blends with disperse dyes, the biggest problem is that dye reproducibility and color fastness are not good.

In the dyeing finishing of polyester/spandex blends, in order to achieve color fastness, it is necessary to remove the disperse dye contaminated on the spandex. Due to this kind of pollution, the pollution is relatively easy to remove at present, and most of the reducing agent and the lye use the discharge dye.

However, this type of dye has the following disadvantages, and is liable to cause problems of reproducibility and poor color fastness.

The condition dependence (temperature dependency, pH dependency, etc.) at the time of dyeing is large.

When the heat setting after the reduction and washing is carried out, the degree of re-bleeding of the dye is large, and although the contamination has been removed, the color fastness is still lowered.

When dyeing polyester/spandex blends with disperse dyes, the temperature tends to rise. When it is close to 100 degrees, most of the dyes are dyed in the spandex component, and the polyester components are slowly transferred from 110-120 degrees. Dyeing.

Polyester/spandex blend dyeing has the following problems. Considering the physical properties of the spandex (embrittlement, etc.), there are many cases of dyeing at about 120 degrees. In the case of a high-temperature dyeing type, there is a problem of insufficient reproducibility such as insufficient dyeing of the polyester and the dyeing conditions, and a large change in the dye distribution of the polyester and the spandex.

Improve methods

Based on the 120 degree dyeing of polyester/spandex blends, the existing improvement measures for various problems can be concentrated in the following three points.

1

The spandex contamination of the disperse dye is inhibited, and the dye is effectively dyed on the polyester.

In order to achieve the contamination of spandex and the dyeing of polyester
Kayaresister-UN can be added through the dye bath

2

Use disperse dyes that can take care of dye reproducibility and color fastness
Excellent dyeability to polyester at around 120 degrees, as a dye that is superior to temperature dependence, pH dependence, and finishing resistance.
Can use Kayalon Polyester LW dye

3

Effectively remove disperse dyes contaminated with spandex when reducing the wash
A pure lotion with excellent decontamination effect when it is reduced and washed.
Can use Kayasoaper-URE

Polyester/spandex blend fabrics are widely used in underwear and outerwear that can fully exert their elasticity. Recently, as in Japan, processing volume has increased even overseas, and demand has continued to increase.

However, there are still various problems in the dyeing and finishing process of polyester/spandex blended fabrics (such as dye reproducibility, dye spots, and poor color fastness), and these problems have not yet been solved. The company believes that it is necessary to solve these problems. For this reason, as a dye professional manufacturer, we have developed new dyes (MPL, MP series) and new dyeing auxiliaries (refining agents, leveling agents, anti-staining agents, soaping agents, one Bath to restore the detergent) and has been pushed to the market.
