Iris Van Herpen uses high technology to move nature into the design of high-set clothing

Iris Van Herpen, a high-end custom fashion brand from the Netherlands, often gives avant-garde impressions of innovation, subversion and technology, and this season is no exception. The theme of this season is "Ludi Nature," which means "games," which are primarily inspired by nature's creatures. In addition, 3D printing, Laser-cut, and other technologies have been combined with materials such as silk, tissue, and polyester film to design a splash effect that combines lightness and visual effects.

It can be seen that the clothing is mainly shades of green and yellow in various shades and there is a kind of feeling in the jungle. In addition to the more exaggerated dresses, there are more everyday small suit suits. What is more interesting is the shoes, which are thick and hollow in the middle of the boots. They feel like they are on the mini stilts. The colors are the same as the clothes.

Before Iris Van Herpen founded her personal brand in 2007, she worked with Alexander Mcqueen and Viktor & Rolf, so the design style was influenced by them. She was inspired by mummies at Amsterdam's Fall/Winter Fashion Week 2009, and processed hard materials with cutting and twisting techniques. She later won several awards in the Dutch Design Awards.
